Dhyani Buddha Akshobhya
The Buddha Akshobhya is blue and is generally depicted at the center of the mandala of the Dhyani Buddhas, but sometimes appears on the east side, while the center is Vairochana. Many lineages Akshobhya consider the most important of the Dhyani Buddha because the consciousness which it presides is the aggregate of greater importance for our spiritual journey.
Akshobhya also manifests itself as Mitrugpa: the practice of the mantra of the Buddha Mitrugpa is very effective to "save" those who fell in the lower realms of existence.
It is depicted as he touches the earth with his right hand and holding a vajra, thunderbolt, with the left.
The gesture of touching the earth refers to the time when the Buddha Sakyamuni defeated marae Earth goddess was called to testify that he had practiced the six perfections, thereby making himself worthy to attain enlightenment. The Buddha Akshobhya is associated with the element water and the heart chakra.
Akshobhya Tathagata is the lord of the family: it manifests the Buddha Dharma, transforming the hatred and aversion in the sphere of transcendental wisdom of the Dharma. Other powerful family Tathagata Buddha are the Vajrasattva and Vajrapani.
Mitrugpa is a powerful deity of purification and is a manifestation of Akshobhya as I said before reciting the mantra, or see the image and the written mantra produces great benefits.
