MEDITATIVE PRACTICE OF MEDICINE BUDDHA
In practice the display for a person or animal sick or dying, imagine hanging over his body, one above the other, the seven Medicine Buddhas. First you see the nectar flow from the supreme Buddha placed in position, purify beings from all negative karma and the obscurations, is recited seven times, then the name of this Buddha then displays its image which is absorbed by the Buddha medicine located in the lower position.
It displays the nectar flowing from the second Buddha, recite seven times his name and expects it to be absorbed by the Buddha below. Arrived last buddha mantra you can recite numerous and redisplay the purification borrowed from the nectar. The practitioner imagines that the person or animal is completely purified and that their conscience is completely devoid of negative Karma.
Their body is calm and clear like a crystal. The Medicine Buddha then dissolves into light that is absorbed by the animal or person that you bless your body, speech and mind. They become one with the body, speech and holy mind of Buddha.
Imagine then the ray of light descended from the Medicine Buddha to purify all sentient beings, especially those suffering from diseases and disorders, or displays the buddha above the crown of every sentient being. Pay special attention to the person or animal for which we pray; the seven Buddhas of medicine must also be displayed above the crown of every sentient being.
Before this is recited what follows:
"Bhagavan, you have the same compassion for all, which is enough to hear the name to disperse any suffering of the lower realms, healer of diseases and the three poisons (ignorance, hatred, attachment) I prostrate to Medicine Buddha Lapis Lazuli Light."
Then recite the mantra of the Buddha:
TADYATHA OM MAHA BEKHANDZYE
BAKHANDZYE RADZA SAMUDGATE Svaha
Here were written the words of the mantra in Tibetan, but may vary in Chinese or Japanese.
And for those wishing to do more, the long Medicine Buddha mantra is: OM NAMO GURU BHAGAWATE BEKHANDZYE Bedurya Prabha RADZAYA TATAGATAYA ARHATE SAMYAKSAM BUDDHAYA TADYATHA OM MAHA BEKANDZE BEKHANDZYE BEKHANDZYE RADZA SAMUDGATE Svaha
