Meaning of Celtic Symbols The Bull
Recognized as the greatest virtues of the Celtic warrior, aggression and strength were associated with the most powerful animal symbols, where the indomitable bull was worshiped in every corner of Celtic Europe, although its military connotations were tempered by the symbolism associated with its counterpart home, the ox, abundance of the earth.
The bull seems to have been a symbol of fertility as seen in several stories that tell of the sacrifice of white bulls offered by druids during fertility rites.
